Charlotte is currently working as a graphic designer in Lyon. “I took up photography in high school. I organized photoshoots with the means at hand, buying accessories in garage sales and using my cousin or my grandfather as a model. I’ve always loved telling and directing stories. And quite naturally, what surrounded me quickly became the playground of my imagination.” After studying graphic design, Charlotte unconsciously moved towards a more refined style, guided by lines and shapes. “Besides my staged photoshoots, I like to walk and travel with my camera around my neck. Go in search of details, decorations or interesting scenes. At such times, I get lost in my thoughts and wait for surroundings to surprise me. ”
With the work of Charlotte Pilat, we wanted to highlight the fragmented side of her visions, like extracts from memories, over-energized and altered by colors coming out of the imagination and dreams. We immerse ourselves and relive in the memory of the trip, even if it means modifying it, to compensate a little for the nostalgia of the return.
